Opened in the city of Vaasa in 2018, the Black Box Genesis art space has hosted and curated around thirty exhibitions and events with local and international artists, also collaborating with cultural organizations. The physical space in Hovioikeudenpuistikko 3b was closed in July 2021.

Now, projected toward pop-up exhibitions, this side of Black Box Genesis activities is facing new and exciting challenges through spontaneous and unconventional physical spaces and site-specific locations.

Also connecting to Hasaj-Gelain's artistic practice, Black Box Genesis intends to develop contemporary and public art in rural areas through exhibitions, cultural events and collaborations with local organizations (About D.P.A.R.A. > LINK).
